How To Become the Best Version Of You
The Alter Ego Method

hey—
Sometimes the only way to change your life… is to go to war with it.
Not later. Not when it’s safe.
Now.
Most people try to evolve slowly. A little change here. A little tweak there. But the biggest shifts don’t come from balance. They come from intensity. From crossing a line in your mind and deciding:
“This version of me is done.”
Then stepping into the one who’s ready to hold more.
You don’t get there by hoping. You get there by flipping the switch—and becoming.
That’s the power of an alter ego.
(Credit to Dan Koe for originally introducing me to this idea.)
It’s not a mask.
It’s a bridge.
Between who you are now and who you’re meant to be.
Because the truth is:
You don’t become confident and then act. You act with confidence, and then become.
Some of the greatest in the world figured this out.
Kobe had the Black Mamba.
Beyonce has Sasha Fierce.
MLK wore glasses to tap into power and poise.
They didn’t fake it. They focused it.
They built a version of themselves strong enough to handle what was coming.
And here’s why it works:
When you shift your focus to how your alter ego would act, there’s no room left for self-doubt.
The human brain is simple: you become what you focus on.
The Alter Ego Activation Framework
1) Vision
What do you really want? Don’t wait for it to feel “right.” Get something on paper. Anything. Vision isn’t about perfection. It’s about direction.
You can’t improve what doesn’t exist.
2) Clarity
Lack of confidence is usually just a lack of clarity. Create a simple plan that breaks your vision into milestones. Write out what you need to do. What you need to learn. And the daily action required to move you forward.
3) Identity
Ask yourself: “Who do I need to become to live this life?” Pick 2-3 archetypes. Study them. Steal their traits. (Example: Steve Jobs’ obsessive focus on excellence and thinking differently)
Then give your alter ego a name. Make it real enough to step into.
Identity isn’t what you are. It’s what you build.
Go War Mode
This is where the shift gets real. When you step into War Mode, you don’t need motivation.
You are the person who acts.
War Mode isn’t hustle. It’s clarity, embodied.
You attack your goals. You say yes to everything. You overwhelm your comfort zone until it breaks, and you grow into someone who can hold more.
Here’s how:
1) Commit
Do something bold. Physical. Visible. Shave your head. Buy new clothes. Burn your old ones. Sign a lease to an apartment you can't afford, so you’re forced to make your business work.
Do the thing that makes your self-doubt real, get it out of your head.
2) Learn + Build
60 minutes of input. 60 minutes of output. Every day. Create chaos. Make mistakes. Iterate fast. Stack real proof.
3) Focus on Mind, Body, Business
Train your thinking. Nourish your body. Build something real. Make these three your full-time job. Everything else is just noise.
4) Expose Yourself to Massive Experience
Say yes to what scares you. Talk to new people. Pitch the thing. Book the trip. Step into rooms where you don’t belong—until you do.
The average person spends their whole life in the middle. Not failing hard enough to change. Not winning big enough to believe.
You? You were built for the edges.
The high highs. The hard resets. The rebirths from the ashes.
Step into the version of you who does.
Track it. Live it.
And let the proof compound. Because the only way out… is through.
That’s growth.
